It commonly happens that people want to turn their recorded or downloaded video files into DVD or VCD movies, but in most cases this happens to be a long and challenging process. Fortunately, there are tools such as Ultra DVD Creator that makes that task much easier for everyone. Besides video conversion, the complete tool also offers CD/DVD burning capabilities.

The program's main window, though simple, is also very nice and attractive. It offers you three utilities ─ video disc creator, video disc burner, and MPEG file converter. The video disc creator tool allows you to select whether you want to create a DVD, a SVCD, or a VCD disc, and then to add one or more source video files to create it. Finally, you can either select a CD/DVD burning drive with a blank disc in it or you can store the generated files in the "C:\OutputFolder\" folder and burn them later. Unfortunately, this folder location cannot be customized.

The video disc burner utility, on the other hand, allows you to burn DVD, VCD, or SVCD discs from already-existing compatible MPEG-1/MPEG-2 files. Unfortunately, I could not test this function, as it is disabled in the program's trial version. Finally, MPEG file converter allows you to convert one or more of your supported source video files into a VCD-compatible MPEG-1 file, an SVCD- or DVD-compatible MPEG-2 file, a VCD or SVCD image file (in BIN/CUE format), or into ready-for-burning DVD video files – namely, IFO, BUP, and VOB files. This tool also allows you to select the output video quality, its resolution, and its aspect ratio, as well as the audio quality and the TV standard (NTSC or PAL).

As you can see, Ultra DVD Creator is a simple but powerful tool that provides you with several easy ways of converting your video files into VCD, SVCD, or DVD discs. The program supports input video files in many popular formats, such as AVI, MPEG, WMV, FLV, MOV, 3GP, 3G2, and MP4.
